Justice In California

The Rosenberg Foundation is an independent, grantmaking foundation committed to ensuring that every person in California has fair and equitable opportunities to participate fully in the state's economic, social, and political life. Established in 1935, the Foundation is one of California’s most venerable supporters of civil rights and social justice.

Since its founding, the Foundation has provided close to 2,800 grants totaling nearly $80 million to regional, statewide and national organizations advocating for justice throughout California. To celebrate its 75th anniversary, we worked with the Foundation to create "Justice in California," a publication featuring a series of thought-provoking essays by some of California’s visionary leaders and thinkers who, as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., said, “refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt.”
