ReWork the Bay

ReWork the Bay (formerly Bay Area Workforce Funders Collaborative) brings together cross-sector leaders to advance collective solutions for a Bay Area where everyone, especially working people, have access to quality, empowered jobs. Approaching its 15-year milestone, Bay Area Workforce Funders Collaborative partnered with Change Consulting to rebrand the collaborative, develop a messaging framework, communications strategy, and launch a new website to effectively tell the story of their impact and vision for systems change and transforming the lives of workers in the Bay Area. To clearly communicate its vision, the problem the network is trying to solve and its role, we led key stakeholders, including funders, grantee partners and systems leaders, through a research and planning period, which included a communications audit and research review, one-on-one interviews and a communications workshop. We used findings to inform a messaging and storytelling framework, communications strategy and implementation plan. Then, we worked with the team to rename and rebrand the collaborative, including creating a new name and tagline (“shared prosperity is everyone’s job”), brand values, logo, style guide and launch of their first-ever website. We also advised ReWork the Bay on the implementation of its launch plan for the brand and website reveal.
