More than 600 people gathered in Madison Park on Tuesday to protest the Trump Administration’s latest attack on immigrant communities in the Bay Area and across the country. Changes to the public charge rule subject millions of immigrants to the possibility of deportation if they ever used or were deemed likely to use government benefits to help their families meet basic needs, like medicaid, food stamps, and non-cash housing assistance. Organizers of the rally called on Bay Area artists to document the day. KQED.
