Thanks to the collective power and advocacy of young people, the Los Angeles Unified School District’s board members voted unanimously to research a ballot measure expanding the right to vote to 16 and 17-year-olds for school district elections. In partnership with Power California, youth leaders are working to get the Vote at 16 initiatives on the ballot across the state.
